Position Description This role is a senior data center industry consultant for the data center management and operations area The role will directly report to the global head of EDCMO and be responsible for:
· Vendor product and technology assessments and recommendations related to next generation data center operations e.g., energy efficiency, services integration and management metrics
· Delivery of critical initiatives e.g., competitive benchmarking, reporting, SLA assessments
· Industry and Competitive reviews of operations process and technology
· Continue the integration of facilities and IT data center management functions under EDCMO i.e., space optimization, placement, utilization analysis and power efficiency programs
Skills Required
· Ten or more years of data center experience
· Strong program management skills or knowledge of the practical application of PM knowledge areas
· Experience managing diverse projects from concept through deployment, and can work with cross functional teams (i.e., internal and external) to ensure project success
· Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., Communication, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation, etc.) when dealing with internal and/or external audiences at all levels of management
· Organization and time management skills: motivated, multi-tasking, self-starting, dynamic individual
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including MS Project, Excel and SharePoint
Skills Desired
· Experience with networks and IT infrastructure
· Problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis
