unable to click on link in OE mail

Afternoon everyone, I have an elderly friend in Arizona who I am trying to help and her problem has befuddled me. She recently got an HP laptop and while on vacation she discovered she cannot click on links in her OE mail. Is there a setting we are missing or I guess I should ask what can I do to help her in this

You may try this :
1)Click Start -> Run, and then type in "REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL" (without the quotes). If it still doesn't work : 2)In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options -> Program Tab. Next click Reset web wettings, unchecking "reset my home page" check box. Then Advanced tab and click Restore Defaults.
