My Windows XP start up seems getting slower than before.Any idea why?

How do you make it faster?

Thanks,

Click on Start --> Run, enter "msconfig", without the quotes, and press Enter to look at what is loaded at startup.Check the list against information at the following site to see what may not be needed and can be disabled from starting up.

Just an addition to that is that after you change the start-up list by taking the ticks out of the program list you must hit the Apply Button to action your changes and when you restart your computer it will warn you that you have made changes and need to go back into msconfig to select normal boot.

You need to defrag your hard drive and clear out all the trash.

CCleaner would help you as well.

You do not need to reload windows.
