Powerpoint dilema

I have not seen this topic discussed here but I have recieved at least four PPS lately and every time I open them my computer just shuts down completely without any warnings at all, just as if I had pulled the plug from the wall.

 

I have Windows XP pro with all the updates installed. I requested the sender to send me the PPS again but it still does the same thing. 99% of them open without a hitch but some other from different senders do that.

 

Any ideas ???
