Keep my Vista? OR Free Install of Windows7?

Hi, Now that some time has passed, would the members of this list recommend I take advantage of my local store's offer to free install the Win.7 for me, with the free disc which I got from the manufacturerer when I bought my HP laptop JUST BEFORE Win7 came out?.... Or, might this be a mess to get used to, and of no real benefit, just a trendy thing to have Windows 7? I've been using the Vista w. no problems since September. Thanks for any advice, CommentsPersonally, I'd go with Win7. It's a definite improvement over Vista.

If you like Vista then stick with it but its a pity to not take advantage of the free upgrade to Win 7. & is now recognized as much more stable and swifter to load than Vista. It also has a much easier system to understand and run because it dropped many of the annoying controls put in Vista.

Vista will be known as the Edsel from Microsoft. It's an interesting phenomenon that happens at many large successful companies. Vista seemed to forget that efficiency and reliability do matter. W7 has much that comes from Vista. Some ideas that actually worked, some that have been fixed, some bad idea have been dropped. Most corporations and professionals stayed away from Vista and will jump directly to W7. If you are an Edsel style person, stay with Vista. I would go W7 if you can.

Hi, I would still be using WinXP if I hadn't bought new PCs. Thank the stars, Win 7 is the best OS I've ever used. I'll admit it- I'm a mess! I have 8-10 IE tabs/windows open, along with Live Mail, and 4-5 other program windows open all the time. Even with all that runs in the
